The Treasury Department of Ohio hosts an annual series of
free seminars specifically focused on Women's financial issues.
The program started in 2000 and attendance has increased over
160% since its induction. The administrator of the seminar
was seeking an efficient way of registering attendees, as
well as tracking the various data for planning purposes.

LimaCorp, LLC was challenged with creating a robust yet easy-to-use
web based registration system for participants as well as
providing internal administrative features for use by those
planning the event. The solution had to be flexible enough
to add in future capabilities as the seminar grows in popularity,
yet simple enough for non-technical employees to utilize.

LimaCorp, LLC developed a solution that was both technologically
advanced and easy to use. By utilizing a SQL database backbone
and a web interface, a registrant database was created to
enable each user to be recognized as a unique customer while
storing the users information allowing it to be re-accessed
and edited online.
Administrative management tools were also created which allowed
organizers to access real-time data and summaries. By tracking
the registrations, the logistical details of the events could
be adjusted to accomodate the actual expected capacity, therefore
reducing unnecessary expenses.
LimaCorp, LLC used the following:
- Open-source middleware
- SQL database technology
- Web interface server
The Treasury Department has seen an increase of over 160%
in registrations as a result of the website, and the system
has reduced error rates and overhead costs associated with
registering attendees via telephone or direct mail.
