How can county and city government agencies
easily and securely pay funds and fines online?

The Treasurer of Ohio wanted to provide an efficient online payment process for county and city government organizations responsible for submitting funds and fines into the Treasury's Reparations Rotary fund.

LimaCorp, LLC was tasked to create a browser-based application that would allow these organizations to submit and report funds and fines online. Submissions were required to be in the form of NACHA compliant ACH (Automated Clearing House) payments

LimaCorp took the existing paper based model and transformed it into a secure, easy to use, online application. An ACH file is built during the course of the day's transactions and is sent to the Treasurer's designated bank processor through a secure-network connection for processing.

LimaCorp, LLC used:

  • Standards-compliant web page development
  • SQL database technology
  • Customized middleware systems
  • Open-source coding, database, and network resources
  • Secure socket layer (SSL) network technology

Due to the ease and convenience of the new web interface, the Treasury Department has seen a significant decline in the number of clients using the historic paper-based payment system. Transaction time and cost for payments has been dramatically reduced resulting in meaningful savings of taxpayer dollars.
